Amazon’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith series is coming to Prime Video in 2024!
Mr. and Mrs. Smith Amazon Studios announced in a press release on Thursday that the premiere of the new series will kick off in early 2024.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a reboot of the 2005 film, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a married couple who discover they are rival assassins assigned to eliminate each other.
In this reimagining, Glover and Erskine take on the roles of John and Jen Smith, two strangers who run away together from their spy and marriage lives, leaving behind their former identities.
“Joined by a mysterious agency, each episode takes them on a new mission and tests their relationship on uncharted territory. As cracks begin to appear, they’ll have to fight to stay together because in this marriage, divorce is not an option,” reads an official summary.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith is co-produced by Glover and Francesca Sloane, who also work as executive producers.
Glover is an actor and rapper known for his work on the FX series Atlanta, both in production and acting roles, while Erskine is an actress who co-created and starred in the Hulu series Pen15.”
