“Janet Jackson’s Jaw-Dropping Entrance: The Surprising Star-Studded Night at Christian Siriano’s Fashion Show!”

Janet Jackson’s Jaw-Dropping Entrance

Christian Siriano is in a celebratory mood, and rightfully so: the designer, despite being an experienced pro, still feels a bit like an underprivileged person (or at least someone who feels eager to wear his clothes) and marked his 15th anniversary in the business with a star-studded front row and a sense of wonder. It all kicked off on Friday afternoon at the opulent ballroom of the Pierre Hotel, the official start of New York Fashion Week.

Just minutes before the show began, there was a big moment when Janet Jackson made her grand entrance. The singer, who has previously taken Siriano’s show to an advanced level, arrived fashionably late and was surrounded by a team of hefty bodyguards who had to navigate her through the excited crowd to her seat.

The Spring/Summer 2024 collection had a festive outlook, featuring sparkling confetti dresses, a black tie with a sharp twist, sparkling sheer, and bubble skirt silhouettes.

Janet Jackson, more enthusiastic than ever about each design coming down the runway, exclaimed “This is beautiful” and “I love that” several times, including a black and white ensemble with sheer elements and an architectural tutu design at the start of the show. An honored presence, the renowned singer pulled out her phone to take pictures and videos, featuring models like Coco Rocha, Lauren Hutton, and Candice Huffine.

But Janet Jackson wasn’t the only star-studded performer; at the end of the show, Sia made a special cameo appearance.

During Christian Siriano’s New York Fashion Week show, Avril Lavigne, Kesha, Rosie Perez, and others were front row fixtures.

In Siriano’s front row, there was always a generous mix of A-list friends and musicians, including Jackson, Laura Linney, Rosie Perez, Padma Lakshmi, Laverne Cox, Quinta Brunson, Sara Haines, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Silverstone, and Kesha.

Linney and Silverstone enjoyed each other’s company throughout the entire show, reveling in the physical closeness of two friends who have established deep roots in the industry (both had previously acted together on Broadway in 2009’s “Time Stands Still”).

Before the show started, Cox, Brunson, and Haines took pictures together and chatted as cameras swirled around them. Lavigne and Kesha, both dressed entirely in black, animatedly conversed; Lakshmi documented nearly every look of the show on her phone.

During Christian Siriano’s finale, Sia performed ‘Chandelier’ and ‘Diamonds.’

The Australian singer-songwriter donned a pink cake-like outfit and a large, bow-adorned pink wig to close the show, effectively concealing her face in signature fashion.

As soon as the final model strutted down the runway in a shimmering, ribbonless, and voluminous tulle gown, Sia sang her hit “Chandelier.” She altered the presentation of “Diamonds,” which she had written for Rihanna, to conclude the show.

When designer Christian Siriano emerged to take his final bow, Siriano and Sia embraced and danced together, and the crowd stood to give them a roaring welcome.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and wore Christian Siriano clothing throughout the years, Siriano stated in his letter. Thank you to all the editors, stylists, photographers, and artists for their support.” Cue the applause.
