Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals Shocking Truth

Jada Pinkett Smith recently revealed why she believes that Will Smith should not be blamed by the public for slapping comedian Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Oscars.

The “Red Table Talk” host shared in an interview with People magazine that she thinks the rumors of Will slapping Rock were “comedic.” She stated, “But, at the same time, I get it. It was like, keeping this human nature under wraps, when you look at the bread crumb, people need something to point fingers at.”

She continued, “So, because nobody knows what happens behind the scenes, I was just amazed that I was considered guilty.”

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith attended the 2022 Oscars at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Jada Pinkett Smith took the internet by storm this week when it was discovered that she and Smith had been privately separated since 2016.

In an interview with ABC News’ Prime-Time Special on Wednesday, Jada Pinkett Smith told host Robin Roberts that both of them are “living multiple lives.”

Fans were unaware of their separation until singer August Alsina revealed in a June 2020 interview that he had been in a romantic relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith in the past.

The “Girls Trip” actress addressed her relationship with Smith in an upcoming episode of “Red Table Talk,” in which she confirmed her past involvement with the singer, which she famously referred to as an “entanglement.”

The Smith couple clarified that they had separated when her relationship with Alsina happened. They also hinted that the “King Richard” actor may have had his share of fun.

However, many fans thought their separation was temporary as they appeared back together on “Red Table Talk” when the episode aired and have been in a committed relationship ever since.

Jada Pinkett Smith revealed in her recent memoir, “Worthy,” that she decided to part ways with Smith and shared more insights about the Oscars incident that will be released on October 17, 2023.

During the 2022 Oscars, after accusing Rock on stage and slapping him, the “Pursuit of Happyness” actor gathered countless headlines when the comedian joked about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. She has openly discussed her struggles with hair loss for years.

Some people on social media have held Jada Pinkett Smith responsible for her husband’s actions, even though Smith publicly stated that he decided to hit Rock based on his “history.”

After the incident last year, in a video posted on YouTube, she said, “Jada had nothing to do with it.”

Jada Pinkett Smith shared in an interview published on Wednesday that when Will slapped Rock at the Oscars, she didn’t realize what was happening initially and thought it was all part of a play.

“I was like, ‘There’s no way Will would hit him.’ It wasn’t until Will started making his way back to his seat that I realized this was no act.”

In the “Set It Off” actress’s discussion of her history with Rock, she revealed that the comedian had asked her in the summer of 2016 about their separation, following rumors.

She said she “apologized profusely” when she informed him that any reports of their divorce were “just rumors.”
